Quick update

I'll be home for Memorial Day weekend, not because my surgery went great but because it didn't happen at all!  After six hours of waiting (and 24 without food and drink) we decided not to wait any longer. The ORs were slammed all day with emergency surgeries and that just ends up pushing everything back. I was disappointed but happy to get to eat something and sleep in a comfortable bed. We'll try again sometime in the next three weeks, I imagine, hopefully sooner than that.
