somebody's birfday...

happy birthday to jimnerd.

there are so many things i admire about my brother. he knows how to grill. he can ride a motorcycle. he can build things out of wood. he has an uncanny ability to make anyone in our family laugh. he always knows just when i need a phone call. he's a great friend, not only to me but to all of his friends. he is incredibly caring.

being around jim, our family, his soon-to-be in-laws, his friends, and of course, his colee this weekend made me so happy. there are ups and downs to be had at every turn in life. no one knows what is going to be dished out, how the cookie will crumble. but being there, with jimnerd at the center, i do not doubt for a second this guy is set up for a full, loving life.

i don't remember, really, when he came into my world and upset the single child apple cart, but i am glad for all the memories since then. i'm lucky to have him and so is everyone else.
