birfday

i did my civic duty and ate TWO pieces of chocolate cake (in photo it is pictured communing with my chart; it cannot believe its eyes, either, thankyouverymuch) while undergoing my cisplat infusion this morning. humanity is better off because of it, i am certain. an ENORMOUS thank you to s for baking the cake and to the entire gang for a moving rendition of happy birthday. today was a day to be made, and so it was early on and has continued to be so.

the OTHER cake is thanks to Mom, who toiled and whipped those egg whites into shape yesterday while i sat on my lazy butt and didn't move a finger. it was delicioussssss like saltines and ice chips after surgery (you have no idea, seriously). i am thinking about having it with breakfast in the morning, just because i can. it will go quite well with organic raisin bran.
