suddenly a bit drafty...

so. i just couldn't handle it. my head itched, and my hair would fall out by the handful in the shower. i have a lot of hair. as you can see, you couldn't tell it had been coming out. but, i went ahead and did it, for my own peace of mind. the before and after pics pretty much tell the story.

i still have a little bit of fuzz up there, so i've been rubbing my head a lot. i've always liked how that feels. it is strange that it is my head, though. mom and i did some shopping in preparation today; we picked up some hats at trail creek and a pair of earrings at a silver shop. i've never been big on earrings, but maybe with the lack of hair i will go out on a limb.

after the haircut we stopped at blockbuster (did you know they no longer have late fees?) and giant; i didn't even hide under a hat. i don't think it looks too bad, my head. it matches my slender frame pretty well and my ears don't seem to stick out too much. i don't think i got too many funny looks but i wasn't making eye contact.

we also stopped in at the dq to partake in some frozen goodness. i indulged in a chocolate oreo blizzard, size small. they really need a size super small; there is just too much ice cream. but i have to tell you, it was delicioussssssss. and i am still weighing in at a whopping 121. my new fighting weight.

there's word of a cool down in the forecast and maybe even some snow flurries by next weekend? i hope i didn't jinx it. i think i'll wear my pj's inside out just in case.
